Chewing
and suddenly
I shout
“Ouch!”
Karmic
meaning
with a
crunchy
sound?
We wonder
aloud
what it means
to eat
one’s
own mouth
Must be
something
painfully
profound
What
have I
allowed
in a moment
so proud
to bring
that around?
But after
thinking deeply
about it
I’ve
come to
sincerely
doubt it
‘Cause
sometimes shit
happens
to everyone
in the crowd
We
may meet
our fate
one fine
day
but on
another …
Olay!
Who’s
to say
there’s
deeper
meaning
anyway?
I choose
to see
it another
way
I believe
it means
I’m
distracted
when eating
my
tofu and veggies
Too busy
lost in thought
of this
or that
from moments past
Until the pain
reminds me
to stay
“Presente!”
