deftly delivered
lovingly
to two
people
parents
friends
treats
meant to entreat
entice
with taste
beans and rice
eats so nice
sugar and spice
perfectly
balanced
dinner
each a winner
rich flavor
on which
they feasted
and savored
who could
want more
than for
such a meal
to lie
in store
for evenings
spent
taking care
to prepare
the scent
where
the site of
love
meeting taste
is always
a place
of beauty
